Your most advanced build yet—broken into manageable steps.

Master every stage of building a substantial silver cuff.

Follow the entire process—design, fabrication, wire work, engraving, stone setting, and final polish—and walk away with a wearable cuff and a repeatable process you'll use for years.

Taught by Nevada Miller | Master Silversmith & Engraver | Project-Based Course

WHY THIS COURSE

This isn't a collection of techniques. It's one complete build, start to finish.

Most courses teach skills in isolation. This one is different.

Through this course, you'll build a single, substantial overlaid cuff from a blank sheet of silver—following the exact process Nevada uses in her own shop.

Design first.

Then fabrication.

Then forming, engraving, assembly, shaping, stone setting, and finishing.

It’s almost as if Nevada is standing in your shop, shoulder-to-shoulder, building alongside you.

Nothing skipped, nothing out of order.

Every module picks up exactly where the last one left off.

By the time you finish, you won't just have practiced new techniques; you'll have a finished, wearable piece in your hands, and a process you can repeat on your own designs.

From rough sketch to finished cuff.

Here’s what happens at every stage:

  • Cuff Design

  • Cutting Cuff Base & Elements

  • Wire Border Shaping & Prep

  • Making & Prepping Bezel Cups

  • Polishing to Prep for Engraving

  • Layout & Engraving Scottish Scrolls

  • Prepping to Solder

  • Soldering the Border & Overlay

  • First-Round Cleanup

  • Stamping the Overlay

  • Shaping the Cuff

  • Sanding & Shaping Bezel Cups

  • Soldering Bezels & Ball Accents

  • Fire Scale Removal & Final Polish

  • Setting Bezels

  • Final Darkening

My goal: To make this feel like I’m standing next to you in your shop

I want to walk you through the steps I'd take, in the order that actually makes sense for the building process, not a random collection of tips.

This course covers a lot of ground: fabrication, wire work, engraving, stone setting, shaping, finishing. It's genuinely challenging in places, and I won't pretend otherwise. But I've broken every stage down into exactly what I'd tell you if I was standing right next to you, at your bench.

Take your time.

Don't skip the prep work.

Trust the process.

By the end, you'll have built a complete piece from a blank sheet of silver, and a process you can use again and again on your own designs, and for any project you take on.

— Nevada Miller

This course works best if you have fabrication and engraving basics.

WHAT "PROJECT-BASED" MEANS FOR YOU

One continuous build, start to finish.

A few things worth knowing before you start:

Work through the modules in order. Each one builds on the last, so skipping around will leave you missing a piece you need down the line.

This is one continuous build. Same cuff, same design, same materials, start to finish—there's no starting over between modules.

Expect real time and patience for some stages. Soldering and shaping in particular aren't quick, so be prepared to go at your own pace.

Let's Talk Tools

Tools & Investment

This course builds on the silversmithing and engraving equipment from Nevada’s Fundamentals of Silversmithing, Scottish Scrolls, and Setting Cabs courses.

Estimated additional investment for this project: $486

Includes cabochons, bezel wire, forming dies, mandrel, hydraulic press access, electrolysis/acid setup, and other project-specific supplies.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:

  • Hydraulic press and electrolysis setup

    • For this large of a cuff, I HIGHLY recommend a press, but it can be shaped on a mandrel, and vice versa. It will just be much more difficult and not quite as smooth of a radius. For the press, the bracelet dies I use in the video are really nice to have, but I have also shaped them with mushroom stakes (half-circle forming stakes)

What's included for Doer & Dedicated students:

From blank sheet of silver, to piece you're proud to wear (or sell)

This isn't a practice project.

Through this course, you’re building a finished, substantial piece that combines fabrication, engraving, stone setting, and professional finishing into one wearable cuff.

Students who complete this course don't just gain individual techniques; they gain the full process for building complex, multi-stage pieces from start to finish. That process transfers directly to future custom commissions, one-of-a-kind designs, and higher-value work.

Whether you keep this cuff, gift it, or sell it, you'll walk away knowing you can build something substantial from a blank sheet of silver. Just don't forget to mark it as yours, because it might be the first of many!
