Danika McGuinness - Jack Pine Cowboy
My name is Danika McGuinness, I'm a Radical lover of Jesus, wife to my one true love and soul mate, and mother to the two greatest blessings and joys of my life. I usually have pine needles tangled in my hair and branches jammed in the brass of my oxbows. Together we manage a small piece of God's country out here combing grizzlies out of hair and listening to the howl of the wolves under a full moon.
When I met my husband he just so happened to be a talented leather maker, learning from some talented makers such as Bud Sharp and the great Al Stohlman. He is also a self taught Blacksmith. I have learned both skills from him but have taken to the Leather crafting more so since having kids. I really enjoy making chaps for people as well as diving deeper into the floral carving and tooling side, with thanks to Kailey Klein's Western Floral Carving Course. Thank you for taking the time to check out my work.
God Bless,
Danika
Sarah Rydell - SRJ Leather & Mohair
Hi y'all! My name is Sarah and I am one half of SRJ Leather & Mohair. My husband Jake has been doing leatherwork for a few years and I decided I wanted to contribute and started making mohair pieces last year. It started as wanting some quality handmade pieces for ourselves and I’ve slowly been branching out to offer some work to the public. I am a RN during the day and find weaving is my relaxation on my time off (when I'm not found horseback). We’re proud to offer handmade gear that definitely has been put to use on some of the biggest ranches in Texas. I couldn’t have gotten to where I am in my building without the Cinch Making Course from BAMS. An investment in yourself is never a bad investment!
Chelsea Sazama - Rocking S Saddle Shop
Being a rancher and competitor in the arena, I was always on the lookout for quality gear. I started studying leatherwork in 2013 and would only make items for myself and family/friends. Word of mouth started to expand the customer base and so it began! All glory to God!
I began silverwork and engraving in 2023 and have taken a couple of BAMS engraving/silverwork courses. I have learned so much and now use those skills to make custom conchos/hardware for my custom saddles!
