I love what I do; even on the bad days when I scrap my ugly projects and am pulling my hair out because I can’t find childcare willing to drive this far from town. I love being a leather worker and I’m pretty sure that I’m ruined for life when it comes to ever working for someone else again. I love preserving the western trades and passing my knowledge down to future makers. I love the gritty salt-of-the-earth and wonderfully kind people I meet along the way in this western lifestyle. I love living a rare life most won’t understand. I love being a maker.
