TURQUOISE SELLS. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Learn to set stones and engrave flowers—the combo that makes Western jewelry irresistible.
Master bezel setting for cabochons, and three flower engraving styles that turn simple silver into the pieces every woman wants to own.
Taught by Nevada Miller | Master Silversmith & Engraver
WHY THIS COURSE
If you've already got fabrication and engraving basics, this course takes you to the next level.
You'll learn to create and set simple bezels with inexpensive hand tools—perfect for cabochons like turquoise. Then, you'll progress to thicker bezels that allow for overlays, dimensions, and engraving machine settings.
On the engraving side, you'll master three flower styles:
a classic Western flower
a half flower (great for ring bands)
a triangular half flower
Nevada teaches you to start simple, then add cuts that make the flowers burst with life. These skills pair beautifully with Scottish scrolls, but work just as well on their own.
Drawing Three Flower Styles
Classic Western, half flower, and triangular half flower—each adaptable to different spaces.
Engraving Flowers
Basic cuts first, then advanced techniques that add depth and life.
Simple Bezel Fabrication
Forming, soldering, and cleanup for basic bezels.
Hand Tool Stone Setting
How to set cabochons with inexpensive hand tools—accessible and effective.
Thick Bezel Construction
Working with thicker material, annealing for perfect shapes, adding overlays for dimension.
Engraving Machine Setting
When and how to use your engraving machine for thicker bezels that need more force.
Graver Sharpening
Essential maintenance for clean, beautiful cuts.

The two skills that define Western jewelry
Turquoise in a hand-fabricated bezel, surrounded by engraved flowers.
That's not just jewelry. That's a statement. That's the piece women build their outfits around. The piece they refuse to take off. The piece that becomes an heirloom.
This combination, stone setting and flower engraving, is what separates hobby silversmiths from makers who can't keep inventory in stock.
Master the basics first, then I'll show you the cuts and techniques that make your work exceptional.

I didn't grow up thinking I'd build a business from a ranch in southeastern Oregon.
But silversmithing gave me something I couldn't find anywhere else—a way to create beauty, support my family, and do it all without leaving the life I love.
I built this course because too many people think you have to choose between your craft and your life. You don't.
You just need someone willing to show you how it's actually done.

Enrollment opens July 1-14, 2026.
